DUNIA BELUM BERAKHIR

Anak skena macam Superman Is Dead, Jihad (sebelum berubah nama ke The Dji Hard), Emocore Revolver, Commercial Suicide, dsb, mereka adalah saksi kunci.

Yang penting sensasi girang dijaga: body movin’, jump up jump up, mimicking Shaden.

Anak skena yang hadir di masa itu, di awal-awal 2000an, di lantai atas Twice Tape Shop, biasanya ada personel Superman Is Dead, Djihad (sebelum ganti nama menjadi The Dji Hard), Emocore Revolver, Commercial Suicide, dan siapa lagi saya lupa. Nenggak arak, rambut di-mohawk, jumpalitan seru bergerak, senandung Shaden membuat semarak.

? …Paling-paling juga kalau kamu mentok, balik padaku ? (masuk melodi gitar, duh, ngerik, bergidik bulu kudukku).

Selamat Hari Musik Nasional!

Music journalist, writer, radio DJ, socio-political activist, creative industry leader, and a qualified librarian, Rudolf Dethu is heavily under the influence of the punk rock philosophy. Often tagged as this country’s version of Malcolm McLaren—or as Rolling Stone Indonesia put it ‘the grand master of music propaganda’—a name based on his successes when managing Bali’s two favourite bands, Superman Is Dead and Navicula, both who have become two of the nation’s biggest rock bands.
