SIGUR RÓS – HEIMA

The song, music like this, is proof that we don't need language to understand its sheer beauty.

I think I’m on the same page with this guy, Paul Murphy, his comment on YouTube:

“Sometimes I avoid Sigur Rós because they make me feel so much, then I remember it’s good to feel. Emotion is what makes us human. I love this band and their music.”

The video as well, it’s actually pretty simple, but it’s expressing so strong emotions. Can you feel the love and kindness, feel-good atmosphere?

You know, the song, music like this, is proof that we don’t need language to understand its sheer beauty.

I hope you’re crying in happiness. Have a gorgeous Sunday!

Rudolf Dethu

Music journalist, writer, radio DJ, socio-political activist, creative industry leader, and a qualified librarian, Rudolf Dethu is heavily under the influence of the punk rock philosophy. Often tagged as this country’s version of Malcolm McLaren—or as Rolling Stone Indonesia put it ‘the grand master of music propaganda’—a name based on his successes when managing Bali’s two favourite bands, Superman Is Dead and Navicula, both who have become two of the nation’s biggest rock bands.
